Originally designed by Charles Eames and inspired by his travels based upon American folk from Appalachian mountains. The original inspiration for this design sat in Charles Eames lounge area for many years, and if you look closely it can be seen in the background of many of his family and home portraits.
The name Charles Eames is only used to describe the characteristics of the goods made to the original design, and not as a trade mark.

Everytime I passed Vita Interiors I admired and coveted the Eames-style folk bird sat in the window. My husbnd bought me one for my birthday and I love it. I read somewhere that the man who discovered it on his travels had it in his living room for 50 years. Mine is here to stay.....
