No longer are you restricted to high end options when purchasing furniture originally designed by such eminent designers as Charles and Ray Eames, Mies Van Der Rohe, Le Corbusier and Eileen Gray. As design patents have elapsed it is now legal in the UK to sell reproductions of these classic furniture designs. With many manufacturing supply routes on offer our job is to honour those original concepts by sanctioning only those pieces where material, construction and design specification replicates the designers original brief.
Manufacturing processes are constantly monitored in the country of origin by Vita employed staff ensuring items arriving in the UK meet our strict quality brief and control.
Although we pride ourselves on an extensive UK stock holding we also understand that customers require choice in terms of colour or material options when placing design classics into the 21st century interior. We therefore offer further options not backed with stock but to ‘custom order'. In these cases we require just a 30% deposit in order to secure production and a balance payment approx 1 week before delivery.
In order for you to understand the nature of a custom order and the time scale involved here is how it works behind the scenes. For us to offer competitive affordable prices, all our furniture is manufactured and shipped in full container orders, not on an individual basis. Upon receiving your deposited order we may be close to the point we can commission at the factory or we may need more time to batch further requirements. Once our container order has been placed with the appropriate manufacturer it takes 8 - 12 weeks as a guide for manufacturing and shipping into our UK warehouse. So as you can now understand the timescale for this whole process is not pre-determined at point of order, however we will always endeavour to give you as much information as available regarding the approximate ETA. All lead times given are a guide only.
If you are working on a project which has a deadline please inform us during initial discussions to establish possibilities.
