The Charles Eames Style Le Chaise Longue is a high quality reproduction in the style of the original design.
The original La Chaise was designed in 1948 for a Museum of Modern Art competition. La Chaise is suitable for both sitting and lying on. Its organic shape was inspired by "Floating Figure", a sculpture by Gaston Lachaise.
The name Charles Eames is only used to describe the characteristics of the goods made to the original design, and not as a trade mark.
